What is required to pre-qualify?

Your Affirm account is created using your name, email, mobile phone number, birthday, and the last 4 digits of your SSN. This combination helps Affirm verify and protect your identity.

Does Affirm perform a credit check?

Yes, but it will not affect your credit score. When you first create an Affirm account, Affirm performs a ‘soft’ credit check to help verify your identity and determine your eligibility for financing. This ‘soft’ credit check will not affect your credit score.

Is my personal information secure with Affirm?

Yes, protecting your personal information is very important to Affirm. Affirm encrypt sensitive data including Social Security numbers. Affirm also maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Affirm does not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Affirm payments can be paid online using a debit card, or by ACH transfer. You can also sign up for auto-payment at Affirm Payments. Allow up to 5 business days for ACH transfers to be reflected on your Affirm account.

Keep in mind, checks may take 10 business days to process. You might want to go with a faster option if your next payment is due.

    • Your mobile phone number that you use for Affirm
    • Your loan ID
    • A payment amount for one loan or account only
  2. Make the check payable to:
